Ive probably run about 4000 rounds through my FS without a single malfunction of any kind. Its worth the extra $. So with the revolvers theres a tiny fraction of an inch of travel and then the trigger just breaks. I went with the 13lb spring. re: its DA/SA trigger I simply pull the trigger back with my thumb and fire in SA mode and unlike the Glock, if the round doesnt go-off, I can pull the trigger again for a second strike. If a piece on a gun breaks, particularly part of the safety mechanism, from nothing more than everyday use and shooting it needs to have a one star rating IMO, regardless of if the gun technically could have fired. I also bought a couple more 13s and a ten. Who decides how big a compact pistol is anyway? Beretta has provided high-quality firearms to the worlds armies and citizens in an unbroken line. Well, of the Compact-sized handguns I own and have used, I feel it is one of the better ones. The geometry of the grip angle results in an S-curve that seems to give better purchase than the full-size service pistol grip. One of the big drawbacks is the price. The 9mm has several virtues, but light recoil is one of the most significant. I dont understand why any manufacturer still uses slide mounted safeties or decockers. Now, on my way to pick up the compact from my lgs. Long live the wheel guns..they are still the most dependable of all hand weapons. This compact is intriguing because my wife and I both have 92s and she carried her 92 as an EDC for a couple of years, but the size made it difficult so she switched to something smaller and lighter. I havent concealed carry with it yet, but I am experiencing trouble with the feed and ejection, a couple things I am keeping in mind are 1) the gun was never fired prior to my ownership. As a broke graduate school student, I needed the funds to buy a gun I could actually carry, and the 92 compact was not it.
